This was one of my favourite classes! I love working with videos and images and I always use them when I teach.

ReplyDeleteLike Giselle, I love using videos when I teach. They are a wonderful tool not only to catch our students´attention and engage/motivate them but also to explore really important issues and worth-discussing topics. The great variety of videos available on the internet, allow teacher to choose particular ones according to the students´level, age, insterests, topic being developed. We can use videos when we begin, finish or during a particular unit, anytime!. I particularly remember this class; we watched the videos presented and then, in pairs, looked for new ones according to specific children´s rights. It is wonderful to see the incredible variety of visual resources we have at one click distance
ReplyDeleteI think that learning from films is motivating and enjoyable. That is the reason why I consider that they are a great tool to teach english. As Gala said, videos can be used at anytime during a unit. I particularly like the idea of working with a video when I start a new topic in order to catch my student's attention.
