In my opinion, working with webquests is quite enjoyable and innovative. As it includes guided tasks students will be greatly encouraged to work with a different resource in a cooperative way
I agree with Luciana. I consider that webquests can be highly motivating for students with different levels of English and it is quite innovative as students can also work with different topics.
I also think that webquests are more encouraging and motivating for students. In addition, I think that an important issue is that we can guide the search of a given topic by restricting the number of sites. This kind of work can lead to very creative productions! I really like it!
I never worked with a WebQuest either as a student or teacher but I think it is a valuable resource that allows students to be creative with the information they include and how they organize it. Analyzing my practices at Fernando Araoz school I believe that approaching the task I proposed my students through a WebQuest would have been incredibly fruitful and lead to a more autonomous learning on the part of the students. In that way I would have been able to let them free to choose the information rather than giving them the texts already selected and adapted from the source. Of course, there is selection still in this kind of work from the teacher, but it leaves the path less restricted as regards the choices students may make. A well carried out WebQuest surely enhances autonomous learning, creative skills and the use of ICTs.
I agree with the comments made by my classmates in the fact that WebQuest can strongly motivate and engage students and also teachers. It provides us with an opportunity to deviate from the tradicional teaching method so as to include this innovative form and foster autonomous learning on the part of students.
